What does the Scapia Axis credit card earn?
The Scapia Axis pays 10 Coins per ₹100 on everyday spend and 20 per ₹100 on app bookings. Five Coins are ₹1, so that is 2% and 4%.
The Scapia Axis pays 10 Scapia Coins per ₹100 on everyday spend, and 20 Coins per ₹100 on flights, hotels and buses booked inside the Scapia app. Five Coins are ₹1, so those two rates are 2% and 4%. There is no joining fee and no annual fee, and no markup on international spends.
Scapia runs as two cards, a Mastercard and a RuPay, and their base rates are not the same.
The two cards differ in one number
The Mastercard earns 10 Coins per ₹100 of eligible spend. The RuPay earns 5 Coins per ₹100 on the same spend, which is 1% rather than 2%. Everything above that line matches: 20 Coins per ₹100 on travel booked in the app, no fee on either card, and one lounge threshold that both cards feed.
Neither card charges a forex markup, on international merchant websites as much as on spending abroad. Network charges and taxes still apply on top, so a foreign transaction costs something beyond the exchange rate.
That threshold is ₹20,000 of net spend in a billing cycle, and the spend counts across the Mastercard and the RuPay together rather than card by card. Clear it and domestic lounge access runs unlimited for that cycle, along with meals, shopping and spa. The participating list sits in the Scapia app and changes, so it is not a fixed quota of visits the way most cards write it.
The Coin has a fixed price, so the arithmetic is short
Cards that pay in points make you price the point before you can say what the card returns. Scapia prices it for you. Five Coins are ₹1, spent in the app against the next booking.
Take a cycle with ₹30,000 of eligible spend, which is an assumption here rather than a card term. On the Mastercard that is 3,000 Coins, or ₹600. Held at that rate for twelve cycles it comes to ₹7,200. The same cycle on the RuPay card is 1,500 Coins, or ₹300, for identical spending.
Travel bought inside the app earns at the higher rate. A ₹40,000 booking, again an assumption, returns 8,000 Coins, which is ₹1,600 against the trip. The booking channel decides the rate, not the airline or the hotel: the same ticket bought on the airline’s own site earns the base rate instead. Airport shopping on the day you travel pays back up to ₹2,000 in Coins.
The exclusion list is long, and part of it differs by card
Neither card earns Coins on wallet loads, fuel or the fuel surcharge, rent and real-estate rentals, education and school fees, government services, business services, utilities, insurance, gift cards, crypto and financial institutions, bridge and road tolls, EMI transactions or MOTO transactions. In-app purchases through some digital wallets also earn nothing, because the payment loads a wallet before it reaches the merchant.
Read that list against your own month before you read the headline rate. Rent, fuel, school fees and utilities are large, regular lines for most people, and none of them earn here.
One exclusion is not shared. The Mastercard earns nothing on a transaction below ₹20. On the RuPay card the floor is ₹500, so a small ticket pays nothing at all, and a month made of small tickets can earn Coins on very little of its spend even though every merchant was eligible.
The lounge threshold is measured on net spend, which is spend after refunds and reversals. A returned purchase takes its amount back out of the cycle’s total, and a cycle that looked past ₹20,000 can fall under it after a refund posts.
What to check on your own statement
Four lines on a statement are worth reading for yourself.
First, the Coins on a travel booking. If a flight or a hotel earned the base rate instead of 20 Coins per ₹100, the booking went through a channel other than the Scapia app, whatever the merchant name on the line says.
Second, the small transactions. Add up the lines under your card’s floor, ₹20 on the Mastercard or ₹500 on the RuPay, and check whether they earned. That total is spend the card treats as invisible.
Third, the cycle’s net spend against ₹20,000, counting both cards if you hold both. That figure decides lounge access for the same cycle, so it is worth knowing where a cycle stands before you reach the airport.
Fourth, the excluded lines. Find one rent payment, one fuel fill and one utility bill on the statement and confirm each earned nothing. Seeing the exclusion work on your own spend is faster than reading the list again, and it tells you what share of your month the card was never going to pay on.
Terms move. These are the terms as verified in September 2026, and Axis publishes its own fees and charges in the MITC linked below.
Krediit keeps these rules per card and works out which card in your wallet pays most on a spend you are about to make.
